The Institute of Finance Leaders of the Americas will host its second summer program August 25th- 28th at the Universidad Central del Este in San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic.


Our goal is to introduce Dominican students to capital markets, leadership development, and social entrepreneurship and community service.


During our four-day program students will be exposed to a curriculum that includes business case studies, stock market simulations, and a visit to the Dominican Stock Exchange. We will also feature service projects and leadership exercises that will highlight the importance of being socially responsible business leaders.


Our inaugural program in 2009 was a tremendous success. The feedback from our participants was very positive and this year we've nearly doubled participation within the first week of registration. Administrators at the prestigious Universidad Central del Este share the enthusiasm for our mission, as they've committed to partnering with us as sponsors to all of our student participants. We're fortunate to able to count on the aid of our university sponsor, but we will need to raise $1000 to cover the direct costs of offering the program.


We are looking to family, friends, colleagues and other supporters to contribute to our non-profit organization so that we can fund our summer program. 100% of donations will be applied to direct costs of offering the program.
